I think the shorter dress works better for summer, and I liked the other neckline better. Because it would look better on me, and I only think of myself.

Well even if you think only of yourself, I agree shorter is summery-er. The only situation that I like longer is if the whole affair is more formal--
thus, What are the plans for boys wardrobe? Tuxes? Black? Gray? Suits? Ties? Denim? I feel like I need a mental picture....
